While taking in the latest posts of our favorite fashion/lifestyle blogs in came to my attention that my current "numero uno" is written by local Portland fashion vixen, Kristin Reiter. As stated earlier, we are thrilled to promote anything local, thus we feel the need to share our love for BleachBlack.com, a self proclaimed "conversational fashion diary." Not only do we go ga-ga over their whimsy boho-meets grunge gal-meets fearless fashionista sensibility - but rarely leave the site without a bit of funky inspiration. Be it their favorite fashion item of the week or a quirky DIY idea, BleachBlack is certainly a fabulous place to "waste" some time online. During one of my more fruitful internet scavenger hunts…The ones I take when craving something completely out of the ordinary, fresh, unusual…I came across the seriously chic vintage shop, American Archive.
Their inventory of unique vintage wares are stunning and oh-so vintage NOW. With finds from the 1940’s on, there is no shortage of fine sequined flapper and 1970’s floral boho dresses. And since the e-shop is powered by eBay, prices are set but you, the shopper (*for most items). The buyers at American Archive are clearly in the know and are giving us hungry vintage lovers exactly what we want.
But what really sets this store apart is the attentive merchandising of every piece up for grabs. AA happens to make their looks modern while maintaining the ultimate vintage vibe…A trend I know almost every fashionista shoots for every once in a while. American Archive has found their way to the top of our fashion bookmarks.

As I am sure many of you know by now Portland native, Seth Aaron, has been the second “City of Roses” Project Runway winner in the past 3 years. As a P-Town based company ourselves, we couldn’t be happier! While Portland is becoming known as a budding scene for up and coming fashion designers, no one could have expected Heidi Klum’s Project Runway empire to embrace our west coast vibe with such open arms.
I thought I would share with our readers Portland’s own Examnier Magazine interview with the new sensation Seth Aaron. Congrats to Seth on the win. Your Portland peeps are very proud and honored to have you as one of our own. Bravo! (or shall we say, Lifetime!?…no, that doesn’t work).
